Explore NASA eclipse dates with their tropical signs and degrees. Compare past and future eclipses in the same sign or around the same zodiac position, including solar and lunar connections.
Solar positions use the Sun; lunar positions use the Moon. Dates follow NASA’s TD catalog convention and do not predict local visibility.

Compare eclipses.
Choose “Compare eclipses” on an entry above, or search a sign and degree. Include both kinds to find solar and lunar eclipses around the same zodiac position.
Positions use the tropical zodiac: Sun for solar eclipses, Moon for lunar eclipses, at NASA’s greatest-eclipse time. Matching a position does not imply the same eclipse circumstances or local visibility.
These are NASA/GSFC catalog calendar dates in Terrestrial Dynamical Time (TD). They are date-only entries, not UTC contact times. A catalog entry does not tell you whether an eclipse will be visible from your location.
Eclipse Predictions by Fred Espenak (NASA’s GSFC). Solar eclipse catalog · Lunar eclipse catalog.
Tropical positions are calculated with the JPL DE442s ephemeris and Skyfield at the catalog’s greatest-eclipse moment in TD/TT: Sun for solar eclipses, Moon for lunar eclipses. Degrees and arcminutes are displayed; matching uses unrounded positions. Greatest eclipse can differ slightly from the exact new or full moon, so other astrology tables may show different arcminutes. These are equal tropical signs, rather than astronomical constellations or sidereal signs.
